How to Succeed in Business ...

Dear Jason,
To succeed in business, you actually have to try (unlike the famous play title). We're trying and we know you are! This month's newsletter has helpful information on how to accept credit cards on your organization's Web site. We're also happy to announce a new project launch and welcome some new clients to our company's family. We are always looking for new ideas and feedback, write us back at info@curvine.com with suggestions, feedback or just to say hello!

How to Get Paid... Accepting Credit Cards on Your Organization's Web site
Credit Card LogosOne of the most popular requests we get is to help clients sell items on their Web site. One of the hardest parts is deciding how to accept credit cards. There are thousands of services on the Internet that help businesses accept credit cards. The most popular services are Authorize.net, Linkpoint, Paypal and Google Checkout. Authorize.net and Linkpoint are payment processing gateways that work with a merchant account to accept payments. There are monthly fees associated with these services, but when processing a large number of transactions, they are often less expensive than alternatives. In addition, you have complete control over what the user sees.

On the flip side, there are Paypal and Google which have no monthly fees. But, both companies require that you display their checkout screen, which can make your company look less professional. In addition, in large volumes, Paypal's fees are more expensive than a merchant account in some cases.

Sound complicated? It is. But, you can always contact us at info@curvine.com or 425-818-9096 for help in developing an ecommerce Web site and working through these complicated choices.
